Entrepreneur Giuseppe Alongi moved to Genoa and established El Krom LLC, an Italian company operating in the power sector.
After a period of consolidation and extensive cooperation with major energy field corporations, the company underwent internationalization, expanding its activities in Poland, Tunisia, Bangladesh, India, Spain, Belgium, Cyprus, Chile, Egypt, and Algeria.
In 2008, the company was sold to a large industrial group in Piacenza
In 2009, Giuseppe moved to Egypt, where he founded El Krom Middle East (EME). He continued to focus on the business already established through his Italian company, with industrial skid and switchboard production activities, electro-instrumental coordination and erection, and commissioning and services in the power station sector.
Under Giuseppe’s guidance, the group invested in different sectors and countries and became a bigger player in the global economy
Stefano Prandi partnered with Giuseppe Alongi to co-lead AMGA’s strategic transformation into an investment holding company. Together, they designed and implemented robust governance frameworks that strengthened decision-making, enhanced risk management, and promoted transparency and accountability across the organization.
Under their leadership, AMGA evolved into a forward-looking investment company, capable of diversifying across sectors and geographies, pursuing sustainable growth opportunities, and consistently delivering long-term value.
